Getting N2 ND - LEED Neighborhood Development is designed to introduce students to what it means to be a LEED-ND certified neighborhood and how associating your project can provide added benefits compared to a conventional development. This course will take a closer look at an actual project and the tools for finding LEED ND certified neighborhoods. Finally, it will walk students through the LEED for Neighborhood Development Location credit in the LEED BD+C and ID+C rating systems.
- Understand what it means to be a LEED v4 Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) certified neighborhood, likely full of other LEED v4 projects that would pursue the LEED for Neighborhood Development Location credit as part of the LEED v4 BD+C, ID+C and Homes rating systems
- Determine the potential role of individual LEED v4 BD+C, ID+C and Homes projects that would likely pursue the LEED for Neighborhood Development Location credit in the design of a v4 LEED-ND certified neighborhood
- Make the decision whether to pursue the LEED for Neighborhood Development Location credit in the LEED v4 BD+C, ID+C and Homes rating systems
- Understand when other LEED v4 Location and Transportation credits should be pursued instead of the LEED for Neighborhood Development Location credit in the LEED v4 BD+C, ID+C and Homes rating systems
